'Teacher X'

Hey..

So reading through my blog I realised the only time I ever mentioned school was when I said I wouldn't post for a while due to exams.. which went really badly just by the way.. so I figured I'd post something about a teacher at my school.

This teacher, as you might have figured out from this post title, is 'Teacher X'. Is this his real name you ask? No, no its not. I decided to call him that so as not to use his real name (lawsuit issues again). Now as intimidating as he might sound.. the name I've given him is very misleading..

He's a teacher at my school (this much should be obvious by now) and he teaches me a subject. This all sounds pretty normal so far. You're now probably asking why I decided to do a post on said 'Teacher X'?? Well be patient all will reveal its self in true time.

So the thing about 'Teacher X' is he gets very sidetracked, very quickly. This is seen as an invitation to the 'less disciplined students' to cause some mischief (yes I did just use that word). Now, although this does curb learning slightly it can be very entertaining.

So the one lesson we're going over aerodynamics and how air moving over a planes wing causes lift and what not and one guy asks 'Teacher X' if hes ever been on a plane.. Mistake on that guys part. 'Teacher X' went on to describe, in lengthy detail I might add, how he flew to Australia (he talks about Australia and New Zealand a lot, makes one wonder) before the 9/11 incident in America and how he knew one of the pilots (he then went on to tell us how he and the pilot had met years ago while they were studying) so he got to take a tour of the cockpit and the front region of the plane. He then told us how he was looking out the bottom of the plane and he could see fields that were burning and how very fascinating this was. After this story he told us he flew the same airline with the same pilot to the same place but because 9/11 had occurred airplane security had heightened and were afraid he might have been a terrorist (if you had met 'Teacher X' and knew what he looked like that would be a lot funnier than what it actually is) so he had to sit in chair for the rest of the flight like a normal passenger. By the time he had finished his story two periods had disappeared along with our lesson.

Anyway, that video I mentioned in my last post is being re-edited by Dylan Kuhlenthal and will soon be ready to upload.

A Punch in the Face

Hey..

So today while chilling in class (well technically in the workshop) I heard some one utter the phrase "I'm going to punch you in the face!" And this got me thinking again, what if every threat spoken was carried out?

Like how many times has someone said to you "I'm gonna kill that guy" or "I'm gonna smack you so hard your teeth fall out!" See people say all these things (some with the intention of actually completing the task) out of anger and emotion and stuff and after they've calmed down a bit think about what they've said and realise that they were being really stupid. Some people on the other never actually calm down.. which is where your psychopathic murders come from.

I guess that's all I gotta say for this one. So I'll just post a picture of a guy getting punched in the face..
See, now imagine this happening every time a threat was declared.. We'd have a lot of deformed people..

Sorry if this post isn't as entertaining as the last one.. I've got a video which I'll try upload soon.
Cheers

...

Hey..

So the keener eyed blog reading people may be wondering why the title of this post isn't very  informative.. Well that's because it's a secret.

Okay so I'm gonna start off by saying sorry for not posting anything in like the past 'insert grossly exaggerated time-span here' and there really is no reason for that.

Now onto my topic.

SKILLET!!
For those of you who don't know Skillet is a Christian rock band.. and also a frying pan.. but in this instance I'm referring to the band.

So the band in question is made up of 5 people.
Lead singer and bass guitarist, John Cooper
Rhythm guitarist, Korey Cooper
Drummer and back up vocalist Jen Ledger
And to be completely honest I don't know tho the rest are at the moment due to people leaving and stuff.. I know there's a lead guitarist, a violin playing guy and a dude that plays the cello.

Now that you have a rough outline of what Skillet is I'm gonna attempt to put their awesomeness into words.
...Hmmm...  it seems I cant do that.. I see problems arising..

Okay so lets pretend that they weren't as amazing as they are.. that'll make this a lot easier.. So here goes my attempt at describing Skillets amazing-ness..

You know you get those songs that just make you like jump around or dance and forget about everything else?? Skillets got albums filled with those types of songs, songs that you just end up replaying through out the day and then dreaming about it at night (if you get sleep at night.. lucky people that can sleep)

Like you listen to their music and it makes you feel invincible, like you can never die! You can be amazingly close to death and then suddenly get up and start punching stuff in the face!! This is a feeling which I enjoy..
You could picture their song 'Awake and Alive' as the theme song for the up and coming zombie apocalypse.
Their music brings people back from the dead!! ..Okay so maybe it doesn't.. but when you listen to it that's what you're thinking.

See they're amazing coz they defy like every scientific law and make you feel like you can do the same (I wouldn't recommend trying to break scientific laws.. I can tell you from experience they're set pretty solidly. The old dudes who came up with them knew what they were doing)

So there's my first review of a band Danica Krenski. Hope it lives up to expectations!

Scotland..

Hey..

Okay so first thing I'm gonna do with this post is apolagise for the lack of  wit (and anything else for that matter) in my last post. I was bored when I wrote it (due to exams) and the boredom kinda shone through in the post. Now for more mentions (which I really don't understand.. I guess people feel special seeing their name on the internet.. Even if its on some random blog). Carol Olivier (if the surname is spelled wrong its because of it being slightly afrikaans and this entirely your own fault) asked for me to put her name in here after she told me that my robot post was boring. Ironic, don't you think?

Anyway I've had a lot of suggestions on how to 'fix' my blog (yes fix is in those weird single quotation marks because there is actually nothing wrong with my blog at all!) and some of them were actually really good! Danica Krenski's was probably the best one and you'll find out what she suggested in my next post. The subject for this one though was suggested by Steph (I'm not even gonna attempt to spell her surname.. I'm pretty sure its ancient greek.. all you really need to know is that she lives in Joburg) who said i should write about a country that i wanted to go to, and those who know me know I really wanna go to Scotland!

The main reason for this would be Braveheart, which, in my mind, is thee best movie ever!! If you can imagine 300, but slightly more modern and in a Scottish accent (slightly is emphasized a lot in that sentence). Yeah it's kinda like that.

Another reason I really wanna go to Scotland is because of the accent. Have you ever heard an angry Scotsman? Funniest thing ever!

They also throw trees.. Scottish people are real men.. When you can throw a tree like ten meters then I'll consider you manly. Well that or if you're Matt Francis..

On the whole Scotland is a pretty awesome place. They got men, even if they are slightly in skirts.. (that reminds me, go youtube Micheal McIntyre in Edinburgh) they've got the hills and stuff (pretty sure there are more hills in Scotland than there are in the rest of the world combined), they've got the Loch (which is just a weird way of saying lake..). they've got a weird way of saying lake!! You don't get that anywhere else.

Anyway, I still don't have a job.. or any money.. which means I still don't have a guitar.. But on the bright side, the odds of me going to see Switchfoot are increasing!!! Which is very good coz they're still amazing!

This all from me until next time when i decide to take Danica's advice.

Cheers internet.

Robots..

Hey..

So today i got tuned for posting about completely irrelevant stuff and last night while speaking to Brooke Pretorious (I'm sorry, but your surname is slightly afrikaans which means I have no idea how to spell it) and I was complaining about learning and I suggested that robots should learn for us.. So that's what this post is about.

So pictured on the right is Sonny. He's the main character from I-robot, which is the best robot movie ever (Transformers is more aliens than robots). See now if I got a robot it would be one like Sonny! The things got emotions! Now I don't care how human you can a robot look (the answer to that is very!) if it doesn't have emotions its just creepy.

Anyway I really know nothing about robots so this is all for now.

Cheers Chaps

HEY.. again

Hey..

So my last post was entitled 400!! Which was, you know, appropriate because at the time i had 400 page views, and then I go check on it like half an hour later and there's 487! I thought about doing a post called 487 but decided not to.

Anyway, quite a lot of people have spoken to me about this blog and they keep asking me to do a post about them, but I'm not going to do that because if I did it'd be like letting them win.. and that's just not cool. So to keep all those people happy.. Emma Sandison, Georgia Webber, Qhayiya Mashalogu (pretty sure that's spelt wrong so I'm sorry Que) and if any one else asked and i forget then I'm sorry.

Okay so you guys remember Brandon Townsend?? (Yeah he's the weird guy pictured right.. sorry bru was the only photo i could find..) Yeah he said my blog was getting boring.. (which i guess makes sense actually on account of the fact that i write about absolutely nothing..) and he told me to make them more exciting but i actually have no idea how.. so I'm just gonna carry on doing what I always do.

Oh ya. Touch Rugby Tournament in two weekends time (so not this Friday but the next one) at the Selborne Rugby fields hosted by SBClive! It's gonna be a really cool inter-youth thing so get a team together from your youth and be there!! Theres also gonna be like side games organised by Denver Ballentyne. (probably spelt that wrong too) and he's normally pretty good at games and stuff.

Last thing. If you come to SBClive on a Friday night, please comment on this blog )or post on my facebook wall if Blogger gets discriminative and doesn't let you comment stuff) and let me know what kind of music you'd like to hear at youth during the night. We're gonna try out a DJ booth thing so we need music. If you don't come to SBClive.. well then you should come past on Friday nights from 7:30 to like 10:00. Its really cool.

Anyway
That's all from me for now.
Cheers
